The CCTV footage of the accident that occurred on the night of 2nd May 2024, at the most dangerous curve of Punalur-Muvattupuzha highway near Thottamon in Ranni. This area was already in the news for the constant spillage of diesel at the curve, resulting in two-wheeler skidding and falling dangerously. Last night, a young man travelling on a KMT Duke bike dangerously rode through the curve and ended up bumping into a pickup van from the back side.
The bike was also not supposed to try overtaking the pickup van at this curve and as per the visuals from the vide, it is clearly evident that the biker was at fault. The bike was taken to the hospital and his condition is not still known. Hope that he recovers fast, and may the video footage of this accident be an eye opener to everyone who dare to overtake and drive dangerously on curvy roads. The location in the video is just after the Thottamon Kavu Bhagavathy Temple in Ranni and before Thottamon St. Thomas Orthodox Cathedral.
